84% of over 70s say they are happy, according to the Observatory of Age *, published on the occasion of the World Day of the elderly, the 1st last october. Our elders think that happiness is learned throughout life. And even for a quarter of them, he grows up with age. How? Mainly having a balanced life, a suitable accommodation, being close to his family and surrounded by good people.
But what is actually "to be happy"? For the interviewees, it is first, simply, to keep a good health and its autonomy (to benefit from an effective medical follow-up, to be close to the medical centers, to be able to do what one wants ...). But what is also important is the contact with those around him (presence of the spouse, regular visits of loved ones, meeting people ...) and hedonism (living the moment, sharing moments with his grandchildren, wandering around in the middle of nature, prepare a delicious meal ...). That's good, Serengo is the magazine of old happy! Go on the newsstands from October 26 to get your first copy!
