Limit sugar intake

Did you know that bacteria like sugar as much as children? The problem is that the combination of sugars and bacteria generates acidic secretions that alter the enamel of the baby teeth. It's caries guaranteed! To reduce the risks, there is no silver bullet: we must limit the consumption of processed sweet products. Sweets, sweet drinks and other confectionery should be consumed only exceptionally. Some infants or young children drink flavored milk in the evening before falling asleep. If this habit soothes the child, it also promotes the occurrence of caries, because the sugar will have all night to do its work. It is therefore necessary to eliminate this bottle or brush the teeth of the child after. To compensate, you can replace refined sugar with fresh fruit or compotes without the addition of sugar. Indeed, natural sugar is much less harmful to baby teeth.
